The world of punk was born being anti-establishment, they did not love what was behind them. From the veteran punks like the Clash and the Sex Pistols to modern groups like Rise Against and Anti-Flag its easily to find examples of no allegiance to flag or wishing Anarchy in the UK.

The Ramones perfected the short, catchy punk song. While bands like the Sex pistols and the Clash were making a political statement overseas with “Anarchy in the UK” and “White Riot”, back in New York The Ramones; Joey, Dee Dee, Johnny and Tommy were starting a whole new movement.

I am not a Millennial, I am Gen X! I am the home-alone latchkey kid and I’m uncomfortable talking about myself. I have probably taken five selfies my entire life and then never posted them to social media. In my day it took serious courage to ask someone to take a picture because –“No, I only have three left on the role and want to get something better or saving them” was often a reply. Sure, I was a kid in the hair metal days of the eighties and loved early Madonna along with the the fashion that came with both, but by the time high school hit, it was early nineties.
